A panel of 60x60 cm, with wattage of 550 Watt uses 0.55 Kilowatt per hour. At an energy price of €0.21 per kilowatt hour, the consumption of this infrared panel amounts to €0.12 per hour. The consumption of this type of panel can be compared with the energy consumption of an average coffee maker.
How much power do I need?
Make sure you choose an infrared panel that suits your power situation.
The following power guidelines can be assumed when using infrared panels as main heating:
- 40 Watts per cubic meter (m³) for living rooms/ offices
- 50 Watts per cubic meter (m³) for bathrooms
- 30 Watts per cubic meter (m³) for bedrooms
